Coats of armour were developed on the 1st Crusade and used throughout the rest of middle-ages. Made of wool or designated materials coats are protecting armours from the sun. While wearing coat of armour the temperature becomes bearable. Very fashionable especially from late 13th to 16th century coats are irreplacable in every knight's equipment. Coats can take on forms of wappenroks, tabbards, westfal-coats etc.
